Hello!
To treat two drugs that are commonly prescribed epilepsy, Phenobarbital and potassium bromide. These two drugs alone or in combination with other control seizures in 80 to 95% of all dogs used to it. For dogs that are not controlled with these drugs, other medications that are not useful, but also in line for the ideal drug can a dog.

Phenobarbital and potassium bromide, both potential adverse effects of excessive hunger, excessive thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, and ataxia (hind weakness). Not all dogs have all these side effects and most side effects diminish or disappear like a dog that adapts to the medication. This side effect is reversible and resolvE-values measured are reduced when drugs. Contact your vet!

The purpose of this drug is to reduce the frequency and severity of crises. Some dogs will never be another attack, but most dogs with epilepsy have occasional seizures, despite medication. An occasional crisis has no impact on the quality of life for your dog.

Just keep in mind that epilepsy is not a disease but a neurological disease that attacks the brain and is manifested by convulsions.

There are many reasons for dog attacks and can be controlled by medication, but more importantly, remain calm and reassure your dog. Stay hurt you on the back as he can with his paws and claws come out accidentally. I give here a brief list of some of the causes of crises, but it must be really a VET ASAP proposes to look like everyone here.
Hypoglycemia, hypocalcemia, hypoxia, liver disease, renal (kidney), hyperkalemia, gastrointestinal disease ( "garbage" poisoning), tick bites
Toxoplasmosis (Toxo), epilepsy, brain tumor or head injury, Lyme disease (Rocky Mountain spotted fever), and distemper. Mina died of distemper, when I was a kid .. If your dog had his shots?
